Thought I had best introduce myself. I am Mrs GB, wife to Mr GB, mummy to three mini GB’s and doggy GB. By day I am a Secondary Science teacher (specialising in Chemistry and Physics) and by night I am a serial crafter.
I learnt to crochet when pregnant with my second child in 2013, but didn’t really spend much time on it until my third child arrived in 2017 and he ended up in ICU after a cardiac arrest (he’s had heart surgery and is in a good place at the mo!) Crochet is what helped me get through those tough months, since then my love and enjoyment of it has grown. Most evenings I have a hook in my hand and some project on the go. I even sometimes manage to hook during the day if the kids are otherwise occupied!
I don’t just stick to crochet, although it is the easiest as I don’t need to set anything up! My sewing machine is a close second and I enjoy sewing in any form from patchwork to dressmaking. I can’t remember the last time I bought my mum a present…
Full time work and my children keep me very busy, crafting relaxes me. This website is my crafting journey, I hope you find some joy here too!
