Crochet is one of the best crafts to do anywhere, one Christmas my bestie and I sat in Costa all day making a Christmas Wreath each (we tidied up as well as we could without a vacuum cleaner, but there was definite evidence left behind!) I\u2019ve crafted on trains, planes and many hospitals, so I\u2019m quite experienced at crafting in odd places! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No matter where I go on holiday a bit of crochet comes with me. Since I usually only get it out when the kids are sleeping I normally just take my current project. However when I\u2019m camping it\u2019s a bit different. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trip 1<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s much more chance of things getting dirty, especially if it\u2019s a wet trip! The weather was terrible for our most recent trip – eek! So I really struggled over what to take. I\u2019m currently finishing up my A Trip to the Seaside bunting from the Little Box of Crochets summer box. It\u2019s a little too light in colour to be a sensible one to take with me. I also didn\u2019t want to take the projects I\u2019ve got ready to go for the kids Christmas stockings, a kiwi (the bird not the fruit), a fuchsia and a triceratops. Mainly because the kids would probably snoop and I wanted to do some crochet to chill out since I was on holiday after all! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So what could I take?!!? I was thinking it could be a bag of sprouts to be, I need quite a few for a couple of pressies this year. The husband was packing the car and I was still unsure. Ha ha!! So indecisive! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I finally narrowed it down to my brothers Christmas pressie (no spoilers) as the pattern is in pdf format so I can use my iPad or phone, although I was having trouble deciding on the colours!! Well not the main colour as he pretty much dictated what that should be, and I had the perfect denim look yarn from Stylecraft, just unsure about the added extras. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At last, no rain!<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I managed to get a bit done too, not as much as I\u2019d have liked, but the weather was so poor that I didn\u2019t really do much until our last night. My set up was quite cool as the hubster hooked up my day light lamp to my camping chair. Was great until the bugs realised it was the best night spot and started playing with my yarn, didn\u2019t think my brother would be too happy with squashed insects being added to his present!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our next holiday is in a cottage so I\u2019ll just be taking whatever I\u2019m making at the time…who knows what that will be there\u2019s 5 months between then and now. So for the time being I\u2019ll mostly be crocheting from my comfy sofa watching Netflix series and drinking tea.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
